The event was a success with a huge turnout. Everyone stayed until the end of the show and enjoyed their favorite hit songs of G.V. Prakash. We thank our sponsors, volunteers and the audience for making this event a success. We thank the audience for donating generously. The funds raised from this event will go to establishing Cancer Screening Centers in Thiruvannamalai.

With the establishment of a bone bank, Cancer Institute has applied for licence with the Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services, Government of Tamil Nadu to harvest bones from brain-dead donors.
The bank will benefit at least 40 to 50 patients every year at the Cancer Institute, according to Chandra Kumar K, assistant professor (orthopaedic oncology), Department of Surgical Oncology, Cancer Institute. It has been set up with funds from the Rotary Club of Madras Central through the Rotary International Global Grant.

CIF conducted its first ever Cure Cancer League – Volleyball and Throw Ball competition. More than 35 teams participated in the tournament. Volleyball tournament was divided into Professional, Advanced, Beginner and Youth categories. Co-ed teams also participated. Even though this was the first time holding such a tournament it was a grand success. All the players appreciated the efforts put in by CIF volunteers and were very appreciative.We thank the players, volunteers and sponsors for supporting a good cause. The money raised from this event will be used to fund Cancer Screening Center in Thiruvannamalai.
